Burglary at Mejias campaign office on 25th Street

The campaign office of Alex Mejias, primary challenger to Del. Delores McQuinn for the 70th House District, was broken into last night. Cash and a suitcase were stolen from the office at 1123 North 25th Street, papers were rifled through, and there is water damage from vandalized piping.

A campaign spokesperson stated that sensitive campaign documents were among those papers, but that it was difficult to say what, if anything, had been taken from them.

Interesting news that has aroused my suspicions. Any word on his poll numbers and whether they’re close enough to be a threat to the incumbent? This is the first time I’ve heard of a district campaign headquarters being broken into, removal of signage is the usual tactic. I’m sorry that this has happened in our district.

Sue who,
Seriously? It’s aroused mine too. A suitcase full of cash??? Was it an inside job????? Where’s Alex?? Did he take the money and run to Henrico?? Goochland???

Seriously. It sounds like cracked -out vandalism. 25th street isn’t exactly an unlikely place for such things.

I saw a busted suitcase around that area with a bunch of papers blown about. Finally, politics are becoming entertaining. We live in a Trump world were, Decartes famous quote “I think therefore I am,” rules supreme. We should concern ourselves with more important problem’s like, how did so much gingham make its way from the Fan to the Hill? How can the residents of the Hill keep the riff-raff from the Fan to stay on that side of Belvidere? Maybe we should worry about how to improve Halloween candy output? Church Hill is a “King Size” candy bar neighborhood.

This is free pub at its best. This guy is a crackpot a nut. I am truly disturbed. By his allegations never have I ever heard anyone break in to anyone campaign office. This is a insider job. This suspicious on Mr. Mejias part. I am not a McQuinn fan. But this is not something she or campaign would stoop to. No one in the community didn’t even know that it was a office. That place has been vacant for sometime. The other problem is it’s no foot traffic at this place. Non zilch! So how would anybody know it’s a campaign office. I go to my barber right across from it. So I would like to know when he set this office up. The community wants to know.

Breaking into an incumbent’s office. Hmm. Not McQuinn. Not “cracked out vandalism” either. There was nothing in the office a run-of-the-mill thief would want.

Intimidation? Harassment? Discouragement? Many new residents of Church Hill live with this nonsense on a daily basis, but fail to understand why. This is the dirty little secret of Church Hill. This is the “old school” Church Hill way of how things are managed. The way certain people in Church Hill make Church Hill stay the way they want it. Crime ridden. It is a network and organized. Truth.
