I run around church hill often – where did this happen, and who can I contact in case I see this person?

… hind end of the dog looks kind of like yellow lab. Where this happened is a very good question- there’s just not that many yellow labs around.

From the source:

“Here’s a link to some photos of a guy that stole my neighbor’s purse out of her car at the corner of 29th and Franklin St… the police eventually found the purse, but her wallet was gone. Police never found the suspect, but I have some good pictures of him and his dog. He was basically trying to get his dog to come with him, but the dog didn’t want to run, so he was trying to carry his dog through the alley. For that reason, I think the guy has to be a local.”

Thank you John – I’ll keep an eye out for him and call the police if I do see him. Its kinda scary that he looks like me.

That dog does not exactly appear to be a yellow lab… at least in IMG_806 from John’s link.

Stand corrected- muzzle looks more pointed. Will be on a look-out.

It would have been nice if someone had stopped him or called the police instead of just sitting there taking photos.

I guess it wasn’t necessary because he wasn’t black??? ????

Neighbor, as if you would have “stopped” him yourself.

Thanks for the comment, “neighbor”. Easy for you to say sitting behind your keyboard. I followed him from a distance for a few blocks while on the phone with 911 trying to help them locate him. Unfortunately he went down a shorter alley with turns that I didn’t want to follow him through. I wasn’t about to put my own life in danger.

Maybe next time you can think about how you phrase your comment before making a bunch of assumptions about how poor of a job I did. Thanks!
