I didn’t know where it was in the park. I haven’t been that way in a while. Wasn’t there a fountain in the circle at Mosby and Princess Anne at one time?
Yes. There was a fountain in the circle. It was removed in the late 80’s early 90’s – due to its location, it was crashed into fairly often. The new fountain was donated by the J. Fulmer Bright Foundation and had to be placed within the park boundaries. The site was chosen because it takes advantage of the beautiful skyline view of the City! The ribbon cutting is scheduled for right around sunset- which, if the weather cooperates, should be just magnificent. The dedication will be held rain or shine.
Does anyone have a picture of the old fountain in the Circle where Mosby Street and Princess Anne Avenue meet? I do not remember seeing one.
John, I believe you posted one some years ago.

POSTPONED. The City has postponed the ribbon cutting on Friday evening due to pending thunderstorms. Safety first. We will notify the community of the new date when it is set. In the meantime, the fountain can still be enjoyed by all! Keep the peace.

I love the fountain. Just wish that, when the water is running, it would spill out over the large bottom dish symmetrically. Seems the thing might be tilted a bit northward. I have yet to see the water spill out over any side other than the north side.
@7. Yes. Frustrating. Contractor is still working on fixing that.
