Nominations now open for 2016 Golden Hammer Awards

Better Housing Coalition has put the call out for nominations for the 2016 Golden Hammer Awards in the categories of Best Single-Family Residential Renovation, Best Adaptive Reuse Project, Best New Construction, and Best Placemaking Project.

2016 year marks the 16th anniversary of the coveted Golden Hammer Awards, honoring excellence in neighborhood revitalization projects throughout Greater Richmond. Nominate your favorite development online here through March 20, 2016 in one of the four categories above.

Projects must have been completed between January 1 – December 31, 2015, and are being accepted online only.

Finalists in each category will be displayed on BHC’s website in April. Everyone gets to vote for their favorite finalist to win a People’s Choice Award. A judges’ panel will add their weighted votes to the public favorites to determine the overall winners of the Golden Hammer Awards.

Save the Date and stay tuned! Golden Hammer and People’s Choice Award winners will be announced on May 18th at BHC’s gala event, GroundBreakers. They’re taking the party outside this year to highlight BHC’s newest work in progress: the former Citadel of Hope property on Venable Street in Church Hill.
