The photo above was taken on January 8, 2006 – just over 10 years ago. The curious rainbow colored building was new at that time, and helped inspire one of our more concise headlines.
According to the city records, the property is owned by Roha and Misuk Park of 11735 RUTGERS DR, RICHMOND, VA 23233, who have owned the property since January 7, 2004.
The parking lot behind the vacant building is a an on again, off again trash dumping spot. The property was on the market in 2011 for $150,000, but did not sell.
I can’t locate a working number or contact information for the Parks. If anyone has a contact number, I’d love to get their take on what has happened here.

The proper owner names are Mi-Suk S. Park and Ro Ha Park. They are seen in a couple of places if you do a search. I know that they at least owned Triangle Takeout which was said to be at 25th and P (this location?) listed in a 2002 Style review… and Mi-Suk was/is at a location (which is a hair salon) at 100 W Brookland Park Blvd and think may currently be called Rayza Sharp Unisex Hair Salon (321-2510). This could possibly be a former location because there is also addresses known for this couple in Los Angeles including Misuk’s Hair (562-897-2911) at least in 2010-2012. Then there is Triangles sandwich shop at 2224 Chamberlayne Ave listed under RoHa’s name 329-2344. Also the phone number shown for their home on Rutgers was the same for the salon at Brookland so possibly they moved to Los Angeles? At least some options and let us know if anyone contacts them.
FWIW -I googled ’em and called all of the local numbers turned up when I wrote this. None were good.
Have you tried that salon number, if they are still in business at Brookland? Maybe they will have a number? Or the LA number? There were other family member names associated with them… tried hunting them down?

I called last week and got an answer said they didn’t want to sell. I used the number that was spray painted on the building from last year’s post.
@5 Garrett… That phone number painted comes up as a mobile number not related to Park but someone who works for the city. I would call Roha Park in tomorrow who still owns and runs Triangles on Chamberlayne Ave. 329-2344 and ask them directly about the building. Odd that it was shown as for sale from at least 2011-2015 per the spray painted sign and not be for sale but remains empty and paying taxes?
Correction, looks like they may have sold the Chamberlayne building, which once had the same color stripes and was called Triangles Park’s Combo. Maybe the one at 25th and P may be in limbo? The next move would be to contacting the city assessor’s to see if taxes are being paid and by who. Should be able to get a contact from that.
