Church Hill, Union Hill, Fairmount named among “Most Walkable” neighborhoods

This summer, Redfin named Richmond #9 on their Top 10 Most Walkable Mid-Sized City of 2015 list (with a score of 49.2 out of 100). Today they posted a look at the top 15 walkable neighborhoods in the city, with Church Hill coming in at #10 (score: 80), Union Hill at #12 (73), and Fairmount at #14 (69).

The Walk Score main list for Richmond (scroll down) puts Church Hill North in the top 15 as well, with a score of 69. Chimborazo is close behind at 65.

Rounding out the area: Woodville 60, Peter Paul 56, Brauers 55, Mosby 47, Creighton 46, Fairfield 40, Oakwood 39, Whitcomb 34, and Fulton 30.

The last time that we looked at this, coming up on 2 years ago, Church Hill was #10 with a 78, Union Hill #12 with a 75, and Fairmount was #15 with a 68. Somehow adding Union Market, Metzger’s, Jus’Fish, and a dry cleaner brought down Union Hill’s score in the meantime…

I bought up here because of the Walk Score. And the view. And the fact it isn’t the freakin’ Fan.
