Playground Discussion this evening at Chimborazo Playground

Kathryn Wiley has organized a meeting at the Chimborazo Playground this evening for any and all interested in the condition of the playground.

Please join us for an open-forum, brainstorming meeting at the 29th Street playground! The playground has been neglected and is wasting away…let’s get the City and families moving (again!) towards a great place for kids/teens/families of all ages!

Wasnt most of that equipment installed by Home Depot just a few years ago?

and havent there been plenty of city run discussions about the playground and the balance between basketball and bocce?

Why havent any of these plans been implemented?

Many people, including my neighbors and myself, have made numerous complaints to the public works department regarding the overgrown grass at the dog park and playground. The city’s acknowledged the complaints but that’s it.

Kathryn Wiley Thank You for taking this on!

During the meeting, It was revealed that there are still some funds being held (by the CHA ) for use in the Playground. I encourage the CHA to share all relevant information with Ms. Wiley so that all is out in the open.

The grass iis so high (at least two feet) that when it is mowed, it is going to form a mat and smother the grass underneath.
