Got $20 towards new bikes for Richmond Cycling Corps?

Richmond Cycling Corps is asking for your support to help get three new bicycles to support the MLK and Armstrong Cycling Teams:

We are well into our 5th year of programming! In the time in which we have been performing this ground-breaking youth outreach, we have learned a thing or two about equipment choices. Which is why we wouldn’t dream of outfitting our middle and high school cycling teams with anything less than the best possible mountain bikes. The kids show up and work hard, so we make sure they have the coolest and highest performing bicycles to train and compete on. We are INCREDIBLY proud of the fact that we are able to provide top-notch equipment to youth in public housing — no clunkers here — and we are only able to make that happen because of YOU.

Today, we have a true luxury problem for a program seeking to engage youth who can be especially difficult to retain: We need to buy bigger bikes to replace the ones which are getting too small for our riders. In other words, we have kids who have been around us so long that they have outgrown their equipment!

So here’s the deal: we need to raise $3,300 to buy 3 brand-spanking-new Kona Kahuna Deluxe mountain bikes for the youth in the program.

These are not just bicycles where our youth are concerned: They are vehicles to move out of poverty.

Donate here, and follow along on Facebook for updates on our progress.

Thank you so much as always for the support…

We can do this!
