Found a large dog, possible golden retriever/Irish setter mix in Church Hill, Richmond, at 26th and Cedar St. He is super friendly and hanging out with me and my dog. Took him to get scanned for a microchip but doesn’t have one. Collar with no tag.
Will take him to the shelter in a few days if he is not claimed.
If this is your dog, please provide proof of ownership (pictures of you with him, vet documentation, etc).

Nope, zero leads yet. He’s rolling around on my floor right now.

Please don’t bring it to the shelter, call the Southeastern Golden Retriever Rescue. They will make sure it stays out of a cage and is in a foster home until they find him a forever home
I just wanted to update anyone that this dog was re-homed in Maryland with a fantastic family I know personally and is happy as a clam. He was infected with fleas, several types of worms, and needed treatment for a skin condition. But he is happy in his new home with 2 other doggies now!
