UPDATE 6/9
Looks like it’s a no-go, folks. 10 days out and this event has disappeared from the GrowRVA website.

ORIGINAL
So it appears that the monthly Chimborazo Farmers Market originally announced to start in April and then moved to May has instead become a one-off market scheduled for June 19.
Area resident Matt Riggs who had been working with GrowRVA since December to get a regular farmers market going in the park sent word of the change a few weeks ago, saying, “Once again it looks like this won’t really be happening… I tried.”
The GrowRVA website currently states that there will be a 3rd Friday of June event from from 5-9PM at the Chimborazo Playground Park Community Gardens.
Looking for fresh veggies? There will be at least three weekly farm stands in the area this summer:

Anyone familiar enough (admittedly I haven’t followed this that much) to explain why this isn’t happening/what’s stopping it?
Thank you for trying, Matt Riggs!

@chpn too bad, looked like it had potential. Anything I can do let me know, been doing several festivals and gaining valuable contacts.
