10th Annual Church Hill Games

Blue Sky is excited to host the 10th Annual Church Hill Games on Saturday, May 9th, 2015! This one-day event at Bill Robinson Park in Church Hill provides sports instruction, lunch, and an encouraging, faith-filled message to over 200 local youth (ages pre-K to 8th grade).

Church Hill Walking Tour

Church Hill is the oldest neighborhood in Richmond. You will meander through streets lined with beautiful late 18th and 19th century architecture; see St. John’s Episcopal Church where Patrick Henry proclaimed “Give me liberty, or give me death!” in 1775; and view stunning vistas of the City of Richmond. You will also hear about the eccentric cast of characters who make up the fabric of Colonial, Federal, and antebellum Richmond.

The tour lasts approximately 1.5 – 2 hours. It meets in front of St. Johns Church on 25th& Broad St. No need to reserve a spot, just show up!

Vegetable and seedling pop-up shop

Local Farm vegetable and seedling pop-up shop in Church Hill on Saturday, May 9th from 10 AM until everything is sold.

Plants including but not limited to – heirloom tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, various lettuces and greens. All biologically sustainable with no use of pesticides or chemical fertilizer.

The pop-up shop will be located on the corner of 2500 East Clay Street and North 25th Street in front of Seven Hills Studio.

City Council Formal Meeting

Every 2nd and 4th Mon – Responsible for deciding official Council action, which includes discussing, adopting, rejecting, and amending laws and approving the budget. Formal meetings include a time for pubic comment and are televised live on the local PBS station and are replayed in Richmond on Government Access Channel 17, beginning at Noon and 7:00 p.m. daily.
