The most recent addition to April Sage’s RVA: 100 Ways is Proper Pie:
Way 17/100
Snuggled in historic Church Hill is a bustling little shop, selling pies.
Many, many pies… a factory of pies.New Zealand-style savory pies to be exact – and sweet pies too.
Lamb pasty, steak and blue cheese, spinach and feta, salmon and leek – banoffe, buttermilk raspberry, pumpkin salted caramel….lamingtons and mellowpuffs in tall glass display stands… need I go on?
Sit at the lunch counter with a pie, have a Libby Hill Park pie picnic, or just eat your hot, weighty pie on the go…there is no wrong way to have a Proper Pie Co. pie.
(Unless you use a fork and knife…no need – dig in!)
