Boot Camp for New Dads

In partnership with Bon Secours Health System, First Things First of Greater Richmond is pleased to partner with Healthy Beginnings at Richmond Community Hospital. Aimed at reaching men in the East Richmond area, this special Boot Camp for New Dads is offered with incentives for expectant dads living in the area. A $30 gift card to Family Dollar will be issued to each man completing the three-hour workshop. In addition, one of these men will be the lucky winner of an additional $70 gift card – walking away with $100 to Family Dollar!

Oakwood neighborhood clean-up

Knife sharpening at Union Market

On Saturday, April 5, Mr. Leonard’s Knife Sharpening service will be on-site at Union Market from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. The cost is $6 per sharpening. Customers are encouraged to bring any knives or scissors needing sharpening wrapped in a towel with the individual’s full name and phone number included.
