Armstrong HS will be receiving $80,000 in state funds to shore up security at the school:

School leaders are offering a closer look at how millions of dollars will be put to use for security enhancements at Virginia schools. Armstrong High School is the only school in Richmond to receive state funds.

As of now, Armstrong has about eight cameras up and running but administrators say they’re out of date. Within six months, they hope to install up to 35 new cameras – which could go a long way in keeping students safe.
