Monday’s beautification at Chimborazo Playground

The Friends of Chimborazo Playground continue their great work.

Last Monday 50 volunteers from the community and through HandsOn Greater Richmond planted 80 shrubs and trees in the areas surrounding the central plaza.

Our very own John M. complained of exhaustion – unsurprising as the going was tough breaking through the layers of clay !!

Church Hill’s Fire Station came to the rescue and watered everything in due – Many thanks Fire Station 1.

Great to see all of the progress! Nevertheless, it’s been more than a year since discussion got started here on CHPN and Larry Miller is still dragging his feet on renovating the basketball courts. It will happen someday I suppose, hopefully before the dead heat of summer.

Wish I could’ve made it to this! Love the RPI Green Devils shirt!

Chanti,
The best we can suggest is you regularly check CHPN as it’s always posted there, plus you can join the facebook page: https:/www.facebook.com/groups/257291271053157/
