had the chard-feta pie yesterday! divine! nice coffee, too. wow, we must have all been very, very good this year.
We picked up a heirloom wheat bread and a spiced apple tart. Both were delicious. The wheat bread is incredibly moist. I’m still in awe over how exactly they accomplished that!
Had the croissant it was pretty good, kinda pricey though. The customer service was good, I dont understand the their hours of operation either.
Excellent! The food is amazing, coffee too. I would agree that it is a bit expensive, but I think that their version of baking is much more labor intensive. How many bakers in town have to build a proper fire before they start?
wonderful Sub-Rosa cappuccino this morning with the savory potato/cheese pastry turnover. mmm!
was able to forget (momentarily) about the family-rat-market/trash dump/vacant lot just across Jeff Ave. you’d think a neighboring businesses would want to clean up their act and get in on the good stuff going on up here. go figgah.
Hi Elaine- The guys at The Family Market are okay. (They will stock what ever you want to buy. Their champagne selection is better than the Market. A little repeat business goes a long way.)If you want to see rats…check out all the rat traps in the parking deck at the Market on Main St.
