Glenwood to get new zoning, sale to Better Housing Coalition?

Via Ordinance No.2011-101:

To conditionally rezone the properties know as 3510 Glenwood Avenue, 3516 Glenwood Avenue, 610 North 36th Street, 603 Rear North 35th Street, and 609 Rear North 35th Street from the R-5 Single-Family Residential District to the R-63 Multifamily Urban Residential District (Conditional), upon certain proffered conditions.

There will be a public hearing on May 23rd at 6PM.

It looks like this land is to be sold to Better Housing Coalition to develop?

Odd… it’s useless land … it’s a landfill.

Better Housing Coalition is not considering purchase of this property. We were notified of its availability for sale last year but it is not in our development plans.

UPDATE: the City Planning Commission voted unanimously against the conditional rezoning at today’s meeting. three residents spoke in opposition and the Planning Staff had recommended against the rezoning following their review.
