no idea, but i’ve always wondered what that building is being used for. i see lights on upstairs fairly often so i can only assume it’s occupied. anyone know?

Elizabeth King and her husband own the building, they live there, and their studio is there as well.

When I was little, it was a Volunteers of America thrift store and one of the men who worked there had a nose and ear piercing that were connected by a chain.

I saw the black smoke from my front porch and called the Fire Department. I guess they took care of whatever appeared to be on fire.

Thankfully no fire, just an oil furnace producing a huge amount of smoke. Thanks to all our neighborhood friends who responded, and special thanks to the intelligent and impressive Richmond Fire Department!
