“It’s pretty much the same house,” said David Herring, executive director of the Alliance to Conserve Old Richmond Neighborhoods, which promotes the purchase and renovation of vacant and abandoned inner-city buildings. “We saved everything we could, knowing we would build it back in the same footprint, using the same floor plan. . . . This place is back. It is back in the neighborhood.”
