JRM’s article was interesting too. Carlos Brown sounds more like a Bedouin than a politician. The goal of someone aspiring to political office, in my opinion, should be to serve the people, not yourself.

I just ran the numbers and McAuliffe received 33.4% of the 7th District’s votes to Deed’s 41.6%. Despite McAuliffe’s poor showing statewide, he did fairly well up here in Church Hill. Perhaps that bodes well for other carpetbaggers who would hope to represent us?
